It is always a treat when Jimmy Fallon brings out the acapella performances on The Tonight Show and he did just that last night! Fallon was joined by The Roots and the cast of the movie Sing to perform “Wonderful Christmastime” to get us all in the holiday spirit. There were many familiar faces in the mix, including the big shocker towards the end, as Paul McCartney joined in the fun! Check out the Fallon Tonight video below!
If you haven’t seen anything on Sing, then you may have been hiding in a hole! It is getting some major promo out there, but it is an animated movie featuring animals that sing pop songs. Fallon decided to combine those voices with a Christmas classic, since it is that time of the year.
So, we see the Sing cast, which features Scarlett Johannson, Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and others, taking on the classic Paul McCartney song. Of course, Fallon has to do it up the right way, as McCartney joins in the acapella version later in the video!
The video pops between the many celebrities taking part in the acapella version, but also gives us characters from the movie Sing. It looks like an amazing movie and super cute and perfect for the Christmas season, as it brings families together to go watch it. And they are singing pop classics, so how can you go wrong there?
